Fitting the container into its allotted space has not settled the installation. Follow the connections and maintenance access through the layout before approving fabrication.

The boundary between the container and the site

The process layout determines what actually ships. With a estação de tratamento de água modular, draw the package boundary around the equipment included in the shipment. Anything outside that boundary becomes a separate item in the site design.

Storage needs a place on the same plan as the treatment module. Add the raw-water and product-water tanks, then connect the symbols with their pipe routes. Now the layout represents what your site must accommodate, including the space outside the container.

A skid is the frame supporting an equipment assembly. A container provides an enclosure around the equipment. Modular refers to the way assemblies are organized and connected, so it does not, by itself, describe an enclosure. Use those distinctions when checking what each proposed layout includes.

At HOSON WATER, we offer containerized, skid-mounted and modular layouts, with spatial arrangements optimized for individual sites. Our factory work includes pre-assembly and testing of the core modules.

Available space is a design input alongside your water requirements. If the enclosure is fixed before those requirements are resolved, the remaining choices may involve moving equipment or compromising maintenance access.

Transport constraints that shape the layout

The shipping configuration requires its own drawing. Record the external envelope and packed mass of the equipamentos de tratamento de água, including items shipped separately. Identify removable projections and show their installed positions too. Otherwise, a drawing that works for freight booking may conceal additional assembly work after arrival.

A shipment’s permitted dimensions and mass also depend on its route. The CTU Code from IMO, ILO and UNECE covers route restrictions alongside load distribution and securing for transport.

Route planning needs the unloading position as its endpoint. Give your logistics team the proposed shipping arrangement early enough to resolve access or handling restrictions before fabrication fixes the layout.

A heavy assembly also needs a defined transport support and securing arrangement. Leave the details to the responsible equipment and transport specialists, using the actual mass distribution.

Treat the plant’s operating layout and its secured shipping condition as separate drawing states. Components removed for transport should have an identified installation position and connection.

Maintenance space must survive installation

Maintenance access is easiest to lose around the container. Imagine a pump that fits comfortably inside, but whose removal path ends against a newly installed tank. The plant drawing and the civil layout may each look reasonable in isolation. Superimposing the removal path on the site plan exposes the problem before either arrangement becomes fixed.

Component replacement provides a useful test of the space on the drawing. Trace the largest replaceable item from its mounting position through the doorway to the handling area. Then check panel openings and valve access. That path needs to accommodate the component being handled, not merely a person walking beside it.

The installation drawing should keep removal paths visible as other details are added. Check each proposed canopy, cable tray or pipe support against those paths. Keep the clearance available as the surrounding space fills up.

Site connections follow the treatment process

At the boundary of the containerized water treatment plant, show separate routes for raw water and treated water. Identify the drainage and waste connections required by the selected treatment process before assigning discharge pipework.

Label each connection by function, then agree its location, connection detail and receiving destination. A common pipe size does not make two streams interchangeable.

The site team needs a usable interface drawing before construction. Put the equipment position beside the proposed foundation, incoming power connection and external pipe routes. Mark who supplies and installs each connection. That division matters where the equipment package and civil works are purchased under separate contracts.

The electrical connection needs its own design review. Compare the available supply with the equipment requirements, including what happens during starting. The installation team needs those details before selecting and connecting the incoming supply.

Kilowatts belong to the power specification. Kilowatt-hours belong to the energy record for a period of operation. Energy per unit of treated water then relates that record to the production volume for the same period.

Pipe routing can undo an otherwise usable access arrangement. Review the drainage and discharge routes with the service areas visible on the same plan. Before dispatch, keep any unfinished cable route or outlet connection in the installation schedule, with responsibility assigned.

From factory testing to operation at your site

A factory test takes place before the package is connected at your site. Specify its test conditions and acceptance criteria in the project documents. The commissioning plan should then identify the checks needed with the actual site connections and operating conditions in place. Keep the result expected from each stage explicit.

Our services cover factory acceptance testing and support at the installation stage through guidance and on-site supervision. We also provide startup, commissioning, performance verification and operator training.

For each service visit, identify the people who need to attend and the work that must be ready. Give delivery, mechanical installation and performance verification their own milestones. An outstanding connection can then be tracked against the stage it affects.

A layout that reaches the site ready for installation

Transport and installation drawings need to describe the same containerized water treatment plant in its different states. Resolve separately shipped items before fabrication, and retain the access needed once those items are installed.

Outstanding site interfaces belong on the dispatch review. Keep the date for receiving equipment separate from the conditions for putting it into service; the program needs to show the work between those points.

Bring your site layout and water requirements to the discussion with HOSON WATER. We can address capacity and space constraints when discussing the equipment arrangement.

FAQ

What should the freight team receive before booking?

Send the shipping configuration, dimensions and mass, handling information and destination access details. Include a separate list of loose or separately packed assemblies.

Should storage tanks be inside the container?

Decide this during process and site design. Show tank locations and connections explicitly; do not assume that an equipment package includes every storage function needed by the project.

Does installation supervision include all site labour?

Installation supervision and the labour needed to execute the work should be separate scope entries. Assign foundations, lifting, electrical work and pipework individually.

How should future expansion affect the initial layout?

Show any planned additional module on the site drawing now. Reserve the proposed connection and access space, and assess the supporting utilities against that future arrangement.

What if the equipment arrives in separate shipments?

Separate shipments need to fit the order of work. Use the packing list to check that each assembly’s connection parts will be available when needed. Where a part is due later, identify the work that can continue and the storage needed in the meantime.

An inlet facing away from the prepared pipe route leaves your team with a problem after delivery.
