The LRHOR series Chlorine Tolerant Reverse Osmosis membrane elements are specialized membrane products developed to handle source water containing residual chlorine, ozone, or other oxidizing substances. Utilizing specially treated oxidant-resistant membrane material and components, they can withstand continuous exposure to oxidants within certain concentration limits, preventing performance degradation due to membrane material oxidation. This series eliminates the need for complex pretreatment for oxidant removal, simplifying the system process. It is particularly suitable for pure water systems using municipal tap water or chlorinated water as the feed source.
Unique Oxidant Tolerance: The reinforced membrane material can tolerate residual oxidizing agents (e.g., chlorine) in water, extending the membrane element’s service life in oxidant-containing water.
Simplified Pretreatment Process: Allows a certain concentration of oxidants into the membrane system, potentially reducing or eliminating pretreatment units like activated carbon filters for chlorine removal, lowering system investment and footprint.
Stable Desalination Performance: While offering oxidant tolerance, it still provides stable salt rejection as high as 99.5%, ensuring product water quality.
Cost-Effective Solution: Provides a simpler, more reliable solution for ultrapure water (UPW) preparation systems in electronics, pharmaceuticals, laboratories, etc., that use municipal tap water as the source.
The LRHOR series primarily targets scenarios requiring treatment of chlorinated water sources. Typical applications include:
Electronics Ultrapure Water (UPW) Systems: In pretreatment stages using municipal tap water as the source, it can simplify the process flow, avoiding secondary contamination risks from microbial growth in activated carbon filters.
Pharmaceutical Industry Purified Water (PW) Preparation: Complies with pharmacopoeia requirements. System design is simpler and easier to maintain, especially suitable for situations with strict microbial control requirements.
Medical Dialysis Water Treatment: Directly treats municipally supplied chlorinated water, ensuring product water is free from disinfection by-products like chloroform and offering superior microbial control in the system.
Laboratory Central Pure Water Systems: Provides stable, reliable pure water for various analytical laboratories, with compact systems and low maintenance.
